New MPF® Accounting and Regulatory Guidance Manual from Wilary Winn
January 22, 2014
Wilary Winn recently released the fourth edition of its Accounting and Regulatory Guidance for the Mortgage Partnership Finance® (MPF) Program. The guide addresses issues related to mortgage banking activities in general, as well as specific issues related to the MPF Program. The latest edition also provides guidance related to the requirements on BASEL III, including regulatory limits for mortgage servicing rights and calculation of risk-weighted assets under the Simplified Supervisory Formula (SSFA) approach.
Wilary Winn recently added a downloadable SSFA model to its website. The model calculates the required increase to risk-weighted assets based on the loans sold and outstanding, the amount of the first loss account and the credit enhancement obligation amount.
A link the updated manual is available from our MPF Program page. To download the SSFA model, visit Wilary Winn’s website.
