Vacant AHP Housing Units Can Be Used to Help Disaster Victims September 17, 2020

Our regulator, the Federal Housing Finance Agency, granted a non-objection letter on Aug. 28. The letter temporarily suspends Affordable Housing Program (AHP) Household Income Limits for Rental Projects Housing Individuals/Households displaced by recent wildfires, hurricanes and tropical storms.

The  displaced individual/household must have resided in a county affected by any of these events on Aug. 22, 2020, or later, regardless of income level, is eligible to live in any vacant Affordable Housing Program project nationwide. The resources below provide additional details.
