July 28, 2022
FHLBank Topeka (FHLBank) is reporting net income of $50.4 million computed in accordance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for the quarter ended June 30, 2022 compared to $33.0 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the six months ended June 30, 2022, FHLBank is reporting net income of $100.8 million compared to $76.9 million for the same period in the prior year. The $17.4 million increase in net income for the quarter ended June 30, 2022 was primarily the result of an increase in net interest income. The $23.9 million increase in net income for the current six month period was primarily a result of an increase in net interest income, partially offset by an increase in other expenses.
FHLBank expects to file its Form 10-Q for the quarter ended June 30, 2022 with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on or about August 11, 2022.
